Anna is an American-Canadian writer based in the English countryside, near London. She holds an MFA from Goddard College and a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School.
Her first (in-progress) book, Fledge, begins in a bald eagle family’s nest, which the reader soon learns is being live streamed into a drab office in Washington, DC. The narrator, Anna, has begun fixating on the birds instead of paying attention to her work. As she watches the baby eaglets grow and prepare to leave the nest, she reflects on the entanglements of her own complicated family and the ways in which decisions she had no agency over as a child continue to impact her life and relationships as a young adult.
